Ne Emergency News Wx Feed Weather update for 10/07/13-10/08/13

As we start our work week there will be alot of weather to talk about in the Northeast from Rain to Wind and even some Severe storms possible in the afternoon.

NEXT 3 MODELS ARE FROM WEATHERBELL.COM

The picture above is from the NAM model showing a "Radar Reflectivity" for 8am. Please note that this is a (simulated) radar and is used to give a round idea of timing of rain/storms

This shows a line of Strong/Severe thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. Now its not as easy as saying "Models show storms so we will get them", This line will have to be watched in a "Now Cast Mode". If showers and clouds push in before the front gets into the Northeast storms really wont fire up as bad as if we have clear sky's for most of the morning-early afternoon.

You can see where the front might be around 7pm from the picture above. If the line forms we will have 40mph winds and some higher gusts in local spots that have stronger storms.

SPC MAP ABOVE
The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Slight Risk for the area's in yellow. I agree with this outlook map IF we have breaks of sun and not cloud locked all day. Main threats would be winds 40+mph but this may chance so make sure you look for a update if needed.

GRearth Map above
Above shows you where the front is and how left over TS Karen is adding rain to the front and will be our heavy rain come tomorrow.

PLEASE CHECK IN TOMORROW FOR LIVE WEATHER UPDATES.
